Court releases Maudany’s passport

Kochi: The Ernakulam Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate on Thursday ordered release of the passport of People’s Democratic Party leader Abdul Nasir Maudany to him for undertaking the Haj pilgrimage on the condition that he would surrender it after his return. Meanwhile, the magistrate reserved his order on petitions filed by Mr. Maudany seeking to discharge him from some cases pending before the court. — Special Correspondent
