‘Drop move to allow non-Hindus into temple’

Guruvayur: Irinjalakuda Padmanabha Sarma, who was leading a team of astrologers at ‘Asthamangalya Devaprasnam in the Guruvayur Srikrishna Temple, on Thursday said that preliminary findings of the astrological ritual-cum-debate were against allowing non-Hindus into the temple.

‘Thamboola Prasnam’ reveal that the deity is unhappy about the move to allow non-Hindus into the temple. ‘Devaprasnam’ has also pointed out lapses in care of elephants and cows, preparation of ‘naivedyam’ (offering), temple

rites and financial management. Ill-treatment of ‘Acharyas’ is another lapse,” he said.
