King cobra caught

Sirsi: A ten and a half-feet-long king cobra was caught by snake catcher Suresh Hulekal near Gunjagod in Siddapur taluk on Thursday. It was spotted by Shyamala Naik near her areca nut plantation. She informed forest officials who brought the snake catcher. Suresh transferred the cobra to Kattalekanu forest near Mavingundi. It was the second king cobra caught and left free in less than a month. — Staff Correspondent
