This Day That Age
India on October 31 moved a resolution in the Humanitarian Law Commission of the International Red Cross Conference in New Delhi calling upon the countries of the world to pledge themselves to eschew war, which was no solution of any problem, and intensify their efforts towards general disarmament. The resolution, moved by Dr. A. Lakshmanaswami Mudaliar, member of the Indian Red Cross delegation, urged the adoption of measures which would effectively protect humanity from the awful consequences of the use of incendiary, chemical, bacteriological, radio-active or other agents.
