Vangamba scores four

NEW DELHI: K. Vangamba Singh fired four goals as Young Pioneers English School (Imphal) defeated Sainik School (Bijapur) 8-1 in a league match of the Nehru junior hockey tournament at the Shivaji Stadium here on Thursday.

Vangamba struck in the 11th, 26th, 49th and 58th minutes after Rabikanta (third and 57th) had provided the opener.

C. Dayananda Singh (17th) and Amarjit Goswami (29th) were the other scorers. Dandappagouda P.A. (46th) was the scorer for Sainik School.
