Srinivas and his best melodies

Singer Srinivas and music director Bharadwaj at the recording of the song.

Playback singer Srinivas recently recorded a melody for music director Bharadwaj for the film ‘Onbathu Rubai Nottu.’ It was a solo number written by Vairamuthu.

Srinivas has sung nearly 700 songs in all the four south Indian languages and Hindi. His first song was ‘Sorgam Enbadu Namakku’ from “Nammavar” in 1994.

“In my 13 years in the industry, I have sung some very good numbers for music director Bharadwaj, such as ‘Apple Penne Ne Yaro.

“One of my favourite renditions is for ‘Parthale Paravasam,’ the 100th film of K.Balachander.

“I am really happy about having sung ‘Margaziyil Kulichu Paru’ for ‘Onbathu Rubai Nottu.’ It is a very soothing number. Our association (Bharadwaj and Srinivas) has brought out some very melodious numbers,” he adds.

Music director Bharadwaj says the songs Srinivas renders for him always became a hit. He says all the songs were written first and then set to music.
