Sangareddy: The Andhra Pradesh Formation Day celebrations here on Thursday started without the customary “Maa Telugutalli ki Mallepoodanda” as the education department failed to arrange children who could sing the song. Minister for Cooperation Mohammad Fariduddin presented his Formation Day address.
He said that farmers have been given short and long term loans to the extent of Rs. 9. 49 crore this financial year through cooperative banks.
Another Rs. 1.3 crore has been disbursed for infrastructure development in rural sector. Fariduddin said that the Government has so far distributed 35, 712 acres of land to the landless in the district through three phases and another 3,116 acres would be distributed under the fourth phase.
The district also readied 445 acres of land for construction of Rajiv Swagruha urban houses in the district. Later the school children mesmerised with their well choreographed dances. The dance presented by students of ZP Girls High School won the first prize of Rs. 2, 500.
