‘Promote State’s culture’

Chamarajanagar: Deputy Commissioner Vishwanath has said all those who sacrificed their lives for the unification of Karnataka should be remembered, particularly during the Kannada Rajyotsava celebrations. Speaking after unfurling the Kannada flag at Dr. Ambedkar Stadium here on Thursday, he said that efforts should be made to promote the heritage and culture of the State. He recalled the services of Kannada laureates and poets in the unification of the State. M. Shivanna, Chamarajanagar MP, presided over the function. Cultural programmes were performed by schoolchildren on the occasion.
