Inter student commits suicide

HYDERABAD: An Intermediate first year student, Sharada, committed suicide in her house at Kalavathingar of Jeedimetla on Thursday, the police said.

A student of Gowthami College in Shapurnagar, the 17-year-old girl returned home from college around noon.

Around 3.30 p.m., she went inside the bathroom, doused herself in kerosene and set herself ablaze, the police said.

Her parents –Adibabu and Malati - shifted the teenager with serious burns to a nearby hospital where doctors declared her brought dead. Reasons behind her suicide are not yet known.
