Competitions, rallies held in Tiruchi district

TIRUCHI: ‘Local Administration Day’ was celebrated in all 408 village panchayats, 17 town panchayats and three municipalities in a fitting manner on Thursday.

The occasion was utilised to conduct meetings to inform the people about the implementation of various development programmes. Awareness rallies were taken out in various local bodies and seminars and public grievances day meetings were held. Elocution and quiz competitions on local administration were held for school students, a press release of Collector Ashish Vachhani said.
