THANJAVUR: Forty Inspectors and Sub-Inspectors took part in a training programme on sensitisation on human rights and refugee protection organised by the police department here on Friday. Inspector General of Police, Central Zone, I. Raja, inaugurated the training programme. The former Director General of Police, T. Ananthachary, and Assistant Rehabilitation officer of United Nations Commission for Human Rights R. Vijeda Barathy acted as resource persons. Deputy Inspector General of Police, Thanjavur Range, Abhash Kumar, Superintendent of Police, Thanjavur, Amrith Kumar Singh participated in the programme.
