Heavy rain in Karur

KARUR: Widespread and heavy rain was reported in several parts of Karur district on Friday.

The district recorded 310.10 mm. rainfall in the 24 hours ending 8.30 a.m. on Friday. The following are the chief amounts of rainfall (in mm.) recorded in important locations across the district: Aravakurichi 74.5; Krishnarayapuram 41; Kadavur 40; Palaviduthi 34; Kulithalai 29; Mayilampatti 23; Mayanur 19.8; Anaipalayam 16; Panjapatti 14.20; Karur 7.4; Thogamalai 7 and K. Paramathi 4.2.
