Plea for more trains for pilgrims

Kozhikode: The State Railway Division Passengers’ Association has urged railway authorities to run more trains from Thiruvananthapuram and Mangalore, besides Chennai, Mumbai and Bangalore, for the Sabarimala pilgrimage season. The association wants stern measures against alleged unauthorised transport of goods on the Coimbatore-Kannur and the Coimbatore-Mangalore fast-passenger trains.
