Two killed

SALEM: Two persons were killed and another sustained injuries in two different road accidents here on Thursday night.

Police said Ranganathan (25) and his friend Durai (25) were returning home after attending the inaugural function of Salem Railway Division, when a private college bus dashed against their motorcycle. Ranganathan died on the spot.

The injured was admitted to Salem Government Medical College Hospital.

In another accident, Kannan (30), a farmer, was killed on the spot, when a State Transport Corporation bus hit his moped in Kondalampatti.

A case was registered.
