Team inspects land scheme implementation

VILLUPURAM: A high-power official team led by Commissioner for Revenue Administration M.S. Farooqui on Thursday inspected the areas where free land was distributed to landless farmers.

It visited Ural and Annampakkam and interacted with the beneficiaries.

Mr. Farooqui later held a review meeting with officials in Tindivanam. The officials said that crops such as paddy and groundnut were being raised on such lands.

Commissioner for Land Administration Ramesh Ram Mishra, Revenue Secretary Ambuj Sharma and Collector Brajendra Navnit were present.
