KOLLAM: Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president Ramesh Chennithala has alleged that the Finance Department is a shambles and this has reversed the development process. He was inaugurating a dharna organised by the UDF in front of the collectorate here on Friday in protest against the alleged failure of the State government in making allocations for development activities. He said the cold war between Finance Minister T.M. Thomas Isaac and Vice-Chairman of the Planning Board Prabhat Patnaik was another cause for development getting stalled. While Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan supported Prof. Patnaik, Mr. Isaac opposed him.
