Villagers stage protest

KOLAR: Residents of Byalahalli, Bestenahalli and Mattikunte villages in Kolar taluk staged a demonstration in front of the Deputy Commission-er’s office here on Friday seeking action against a private poultry farm which is allegedly causing health hazard in the villages. Janata Dal (Secular) leader Byalahalli Govinde Gowda and Prakash, representing the villagers, explained their woes to the Deputy Commissioner. — Staff Correspondent
