HYDERABAD: Bomb disposal squads defused a powerful bomb with a timer device found at an open place near Surabhi colony at Chandanagar on Friday , warding off a major terrorist act targeting people of Hyderabad.
Municipal workers called in the police after they noticed a gunny bag containing the explosive device The explosive charge, stated to be Powergel, was connected to a quartz alarm clock and a motorcycle battery. The explosives were believed to be made in a factory at Nagpur in Maharashtra.
The explosive charges were packed and put in glass bottles and the electric detonators were connected to the motorcycle battery.
