SHIMLA: Five persons were killed and nine injured when a private bus fell down into a 700-foot-deep gorge at Dolag near Kandaghat in Solan district on Thursday. Eight of the injured were shifted to the Solan District Hospital while one seriously injured woman was referred to PGI, Chandigarh. The bus was on its way from Solan to Chail when it met with the accident. Governor V.S. Kokje and Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh have expressed grief over the accident and conveyed their condolences to the bereaved family members. The Chief Minister has directed the district administration to provide all possible assistance to the next of kin of the deceased and best possible treatment to the injured.
