Addressing a meeting of the teachers and headmasters of the Tirunelveli District Board High Schools on October 30, Mr. N.D. Sundaravadivelu, Director of Public Instruction, said that the Madras Government were now very keen on spreading higher education in rural areas. Therefore, it was the duty of those in the teaching profession to see that the spirit of the Government’s policy was carried out successfully.
