SZ inter-varsity badminton

KOLENCHERRY: The South Zone inter-university badminton championship begins at the St. Peter’s College indoor stadium here on Saturday.

As many as 45 teams in the men’s section and 42 in women’s will figure in the four-day event hosted by the Mahatma Gandhi University.

The top four finishers in this event will qualify for the all-India varsity championship which begins at the same venue on November 8.

Kerala Sports Council President, T.P. Dasan, will inaugurate the championship. — Principal Correspondent
