NEW DELHI: Three Cavalry teams and Sixt entered the semifinals of the Bhopal-Pataudi Cup polo tournament at the Army equestrian centre here on Friday. The tournament is being played on a half league basis.
Cavalry (Black) beat JPC 9-5. Kevin Johnson (5), Ravi Rathore (3) and Tarun Sirohi were the Cavalry scorers while Manupal Godara (3), Lokendra Singh and Varun Sharma struck for the loser.
Sixt beat Cavalry (White) 3-1 in another league match but the defeat did not matter for the Cavalry team as it qualified for the semifinals along with the winner. Panchal scored all the three for the winner while Santiago Cernada scored for the Cavalry side.
In an inconsequential league match, NDA-Sahgal and Artillery-Riviera drew 6-6.
