Mumait in a dance number in the film Film: Bajantreelu (Telugu) Cast: Sivaji, Vikram Director: M.S. Narayana Bajantreelu is about a group of cronies who make life out of pampering people’s ego and whose only aim is buttering the person concerned. With so much explanation you wouldn’t find any one remotely close with those qualities in the movie and to summarise the plot, one will have to relive the torture and scoff at a producer as reverential as Devi Prasad for lending his name to such a pointless film. Kota’s daughter is about to wed Venu Madhav and she is kidnapped by Sivaji and Vikram. Kota takes a ghost’s (Raogopal Rao) approval for everything he does and his scantily dressed daughter falls in love with the kidnapper just because he is good looking. The rest of the story is about how Venu hires groups of people to find his bride. Other character who struts around in a police uniform is Vikram, the director’s son. He is far from impressive. Venu Madhav’s clichéd humour doesn’t help in uplifting the film . L.B. Sriram, Mallikarjun Rao, Kondavalas, Krishna Bhagwan, Ali, M.S. Narayana and a whole lot of comedians end up as decadent actors cracking embarrassing jokes. Mumait shocks you with her costumes in the item number. There is little plot and the script is incredibly bad. No promise in conception, incoherent in execution, ludicrous sound track, crappy performances, you have all. Y.S.C
