Deepavali celebrations at Tirumala on Nov. 9

TIRUMALA:Deepavali will be celebrated at Tirumala on November 9.

In connection with the festival, ‘Deepavali Asthanam’ will be conducted inside the temple at the ‘Bangaru Vakili’ between 7.00 a.m. and 9.00 a.m. on Friday. It will be preceded by special rituals like ‘Vishesha Padi’ and presentation of new silk ‘vastrams’ to the main deity which will be followed by the procession of the lord around the Vimana Prakaram inside the hill temple.

The temple management has dispensed with performance of all the ‘arjitha sevas’ on Friday except the ‘Suprabhatam’, ‘Abhishekam’ and ‘Sahasra deepalankara’.
