Students urged to start ventures

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Setting up an industry and being an employer is much better than going on a job-hunting spree after getting a professional degree, Industries Director T.O. Sooraj has said.

He was speaking after inaugurating the Entrepreneurship Development Club set up at the Mohandas College of Engineering, Anad, near here on Saturday. Mr. Sooraj also inaugurated ‘Doodle Security,’ an entrepreneurial venture launched by the alumni of the college.

Students graduating from professional colleges should come together to set up entrepreneurial ventures that are non-exploitative and useful, he said.

College principal Ashalatha Thampuran presided over the inaugural ceremony, a press note issued here said.
