Sarpanches seek ‘alms’

ADILABAD: Gama sarpanches in Adilabad districton Saturday went around seeking ‘alms’ in front of the Zilla Parishad building in order to draw attention to their demands. The main demand was restoration of cheque power to sarpanches alone. The agitating sarpanches submitted a memorandum to ZP chaiman Rathod Ramesh. Staff Reporter
