Bogus family cards seized

NAMAKKAL: District supply officials seized 42 bogus family cards from a person in Mallasamudram here on Friday night.

Acting on a tip off, a team of officials conducted a door-to-door verification exercise and found Nanjappa Mudaliyar possessing 42 family cards. They seized the cards. Legal action would be taken against him.

Officials said that they had detected more than 5,000 cards in the district so far.
