GULBARGA: Residents of Sevalal Naik Tanda and Prabhavathi Telkar Nagar under Nandikur Gram Panchayat on Saturday staged “rasta roko” on the Humnabad-Bijapur National Highway on the outskirts of Gulbarga city demanding basic amenities in their localities. The protest was led by former president of Nandikur Gram Panchayat Pavankumar Valkeri. Later, Tahsildar of Gulbarga taluk visited the spot and assured the protesters that their demands would be met within a fortnight.
