BIDAR: The former Minister, P.G.R. Sindhia, has asked Governor Rameshwar Thakur not to allow Bharatiya Janata Party-Janata Dal (Secular) combine to form a government in the State, considering the allegations levelled by both the parties against each other between October 3 and 20. Mr. Sindhia told presspersons here on Saturday that he had met the Governor and appealed him to dissolve the Assembly and make way for fresh elections. He said that BJP leaders had withdrawn support to the Janata Dal (S) earlier, but after taking out “Dharma Yatra” they had showed interest to form a government again with the support of Janata Dal (S). The BJP leaders were misleading the public with their varying stand, he said. These developments also showed that the BJP leaders were after power, Mr. Sindhia said and added that their attempt to form a government was “anti-democratic”. CriticisedMr. Sindhia also criticised former Prime Minister and Janata Dal (S) president H.D. Deve Gowda. Owing to his “opportunistic” attitude Mr. Deve Gowda had damaged his reputation, he charged. He urged the people of the State to teach a lesson to Janata Dal (S) in the next elections.
