Varanasi: A police constable was seriously injured when he was allegedly shot at by his colleague on Saturday morning following a minor scuffle over recovery of money from a truck driver at Chandpur square here. “There was a dispute between two policemen allegedly over extorting money from a truck driver. As the situation went out of control, constable Rajendra Sharma shot at Kashi Nath Pandey, who is the driver of a police vehicle,” Senior Superintendent of Police S B Shirodkar told PTI. Sharma, who immediately fled the spot, has been suspended with immediate effect, he said.
