Haj flights from November 21

MALAPPURAM: The first Haj flight from the State will take off from the Calicut International Airport at Karipur on November 21. As many as 31 flights will carry 7,300-odd pilgrims from Karipur to Jeddah this year. The last flight is on December 6, Haj Committee Chairman A.K. Abdul Hameed said here on Saturday. Minister for Haj Paloli Mohammed Kutty said the State government had asked the Centre to fly larger aircraft for Haj operations. The Haj camp will begin at the newly constructed Haj House at Karipur on November 21. — Staff Reporter
