Award for anti-cancer research

Thiruvananthapuram: Renu Mohan, a biotechnologist from Kerala, has been awarded the Young Scientist Award 2007-08, instituted by the Indian Science Congress. The award carries a certificate and cash award of Rs.25,000. It will be presented by President Pratibha Patil during the 95th session of the Indian Science Congress, scheduled to be held at Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, in January 2008. She is currently completing her Ph.D. in anti-cancer research from the School of Biosciences & Bioengineering, IIT Bombay. — Special Correspondent
