Eight more held in fake currency case

BIDAR: The police arrested eight more persons on Saturday in connection with the circulation of fake currency notes case in the city.

Addressing presspersons here, Superintendent of Police Subramanyeshwara Rao gave the names of the arrested as Raju (28) of Kadawad, Kirankumar of Bidar, Gundappa (24) of Janawada, Sandeep (29)of Hallikhed, Satish (28) of Dumgalgodi, Abraham from Halladakeri, Veershetty (25) of Chattanahalli and Amjed Khan of Bidar.

He said that during interrogation, the accused told the police that fake currency notes were supplied to them from Hyderabad and Belgaum.

Earlier, the police arrested four persons. Teams would be sent to Hyderabad and Belgaum for investigation, he said.
