Kottayan wins by spin of coin

KOCHI: Despite posting a strong total, MYCA (Mattancherry) was unlucky with the toss-up a little later and crashed out of the 57th Cordiant-Pooja all-India cricket tournament at the Tripunithura Palace Oval on Saturday.

MYCAmade 242 in the allotted 45 overs in the first phase pre-quarterfinal, but with rain coming in, only one over of Kottayam DCA’s innings could be played.

The result was decided by a spin of coin and Kottayam called right.

The scores: MYCA (Mattancherry) 242 in 45 overs (Renjith 70, Narayanan 52) vs. Kottayam DCA 2 for no loss in 1 over. — Principal Correspondent
