Top teams in fray

KOCHI: Some of the men’s top teams of the country, including BPCL Kochi Refinery, Cochin Port Trust, Kochi Customs and Indian Navy will figure in the 12th Pappan memorial Ernakulam District senior volleyball championship which begins at the G.D.S. Vavakkad floodlit stadium, North Parur, on Sunday. In the women’s section, a knockout affair, SGDC (Nayarambalam), St Joseph’s College (Aluva), SNM College (Maliankara), St Joseph’s (Varapuzha) and St Teresa’s (Ernakulam) are among the teams. – Principal Correspondent
