Builder loses Rs. 2 lakh

BANGALORE: Thieves looted Rs. 2 lakh from a builder’s multi-utility vehicle (MUV) that was parked near a bank on Friday. The police said that around 10.30 a.m. R. Kumar Raj, a builder from Nagashettihalli in Sanjaynagar, went to Canara Bank’s branch on Hebbal Ring Road in his MUV. He was carrying Rs. 2.5 lakh with him. After parking his vehicle, Mr. Kumar Raj took Rs. 50,000 from the cash bag to deposit in the bank. When he returned, he found that the thieves had smashed the glass panes of the MUV and made away with the bag containing Rs. 2 lakh.
