Arvind Bhat wins title

Bangalore: Arvind Bhat won the Satellite Series badminton title in Damascus on Friday. According to a press release from the Tata Padukone Badminton Academy, Arvind, on a comeback trail from injury, notched up his third title of the season, with a 21-16, 21-18 victory over Carlos Longo in the final.

Earlier Arvind upset World No. 43, Pablo Abian of Spain, in the last-16 stage.

Arvind defeated Pablo 21-16, 21-16. In the semifinals, Arvind defeated Iranian Ali Shah Hosseni in three games.
