Three held, Rs. 50 lakh hawala cash recovered

Jammu: The police on Sunday arrested three persons, including a couple in Udhampur district and recovered about Rs.50 lakh of hawala money from their possession.

The couple were identified as Jamali Khan, son of Abdul Alam Khan and his wife Sameena Khan, both residents of Srinagar and third associate as Danish Anwar of Ajmer Sharief in Uttar Pradesh.

A local news agency quoting a police official stated that the couple along with another associate of Uttar Pradesh were on their way to Srinagar from Jammu in a car, which was intercepted by the police.
