Four arrested

POLLACHI: The Pollachi East Police on Saturday night arrested four persons on charges of kidnapping a person for ransom.

According to the police, Abishek (22) of Tamilmani Nagar here, was kidnapped by a gang on October 31. After allegedly torturing him at a house in Makkinampatty, near here, they were taking Abishek to Chittoor in Kerala as he informed that he had money there. As their car was intercepted by Kerala police at the Tamil Nadu-Kerala border, the gang deserted him leaving the car there.

The police arrested Ashokan (32), Sabari (30), Santhu Mohammed (31) and car driver Ganesh (31) of Makkinampatty after Abishek informed the police about the incident.
