Acid attack on housewife

Meerut: Unidentified men threw acid on a housewife in a locality here but it is not immediately known what led to the attack.

The woman’s husband Amit Arora on Sunday lodged an FIR that some unknown men came to his house in Shradhapur on Thursday and hurled acid on his wife Preeti.

He was unable to identify the assailants or what provoked the attack, Senior Superintendent of Police Jyoti Narayan said adding she had suffered severe burns.

The police have registered a case against some unknown persons under section 326 of the IPC.
