Two arrested
BANGALORE: The Bangalore Urban Forest Department personnel have arrested two persons in connection with their alleged involvement in stealing sandalwood from Dhanavantari plantation in Nagadevanahalli near Jnanabharati on September 29.
The forest personnel on Saturday arrested Reva (26), a resident of Bhuvaneshwari Nagar, who was allegedly cutting sandalwood trees in the plantation along with two other persons. They have already arrested Shashi Prasad (30). They have recovered 300 kg of sandalwood, which is worth Rs. 4.5 lakh in the market.
