BANGALORE: The auction of Government lands recovered from encroachments resumed on Saturday where 6.17 acres in Bangalore East taluks went under the hammer for Rs. 7.78 crore. The Prevention of Unauthorised Construction Cell received bids of Rs. 2.93 crore and Rs. 90 lakh for blocks of 3.10 acres and 1.8 acres respectively in Doddabettahalli. The first block went to Ridh Credit Promoters Pvt. Ltd.; the second to Umrao Developers. Two guntas went to Progen Constructions for Rs. 31 lakh at Jakkur; 37 guntas went to Umrao Developers for Rs. 1.1 crore; 10 guntas to Ramakrishna Education Trust for Rs. 41 lakh at Avalahalli and 30 guntas at Tharabanahalli went to Satya Sai Constructions for Rs. 2.13 crore.
