Vedi holding Children’s Day fete

KOLLAM: The State-level Children’s Day celebrations organised by the Jawahar Balajana Vedi will be held from November 8 to 14.

G.V. Hari, chairman of the festival committee, said here on Sunday that Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee president Ramesh Chennithala would inaugurate the festival at Kunnamangalam.

On November 9, the festival would be held in Malappuram where a workshop for children would be inaugurated by A.P. Anilkumar, MLA.

On November 10, a rally and public meeting would be held at Ernakulam. The public meeting would be inaugurated by Union Labour Minister Oscar Fernandez.

On November 11, a State-level painting competition for the Chachaji gold medal would be held at the museum complex in Thiruvananthapuram. The former Minister M.M. Hassan would inaugurate it. A Children’s Day rally and meeting would be held at Kottarakara on November 14. Union Minister for Overseas Indian Affairs Vayalar Ravi would open the meeting.
