MANGALORE: Canara Pre-University College (Mangalore) defeated St. John’s (Shankarapura) by 19 runs and entered the last-four stage in the Ultra Tech Cup cricket tournament organised by Dakshina Kannada District Football Association at the NIT-K ground at Srinivasnagar near here on Sunday. Shamith top-scored for the winner with an unbeaten 59. The scores: Quarterfinals: Canara 134 for four in 20 overs (Shamith 59 n.o.) bt St. John’s 115 for 8 in 20 (Vineeth three for 19).
