KOCHI: Film actor Mammootty visited the venue of the relay hunger strike by activists of the Save FACT Action Committee on Saturday and spoke to those on hunger strike at the pandhal in front of the headquarters of Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore. Mr. Mammootty, who was at the location for a new film, had come to know about the FACT employees on strike and came to enquire about the condition of the fertiliser company and the problems it was facing. The visit enthused the striking employees and helped draw attention to the hunger strike demanding a special dispensation package to revive the struggling public sector fertiliser company, which completed 40 days on Sunday.
