Veeramani condemns Jayalalithaa

Special Correspondent

CHENNAI: Dravidar Kazhagam president K. Veeramani has condemned AIADMK general secretary Jayalalithaa for accusing Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi of having a hidden agenda in his poem condoling the death of S.P. Thamilchelvan, leader of the LTTE’s political wing.

In a statement on Sunday, he observed that Ms. Jayalalithaa had said that one should not condole the death of a person belonging to a banned organisation.

Noting that MDMK general secretary Vaiko had also issued a condolence message, Mr. Veeramani wondered whether Ms. Jayalalithaa would condemn his action as well.
