Sangh Parivar raising proselytisation bogey: CPI (M)

Special Correspondent

TIRUPATI: The raging feud between the Congress and the BJP over the alleged spurt in the evangelical activities on and off on Tirumala Hills has on Sunday acquired a third dimension with the CPI-M also getting into the ring.

The party lashed at the Sangh Parivar for raising the ‘bogey’ of proselytisation in Tirupati for its own political gains and warned that the people and secular forces in the town would not be sitting quiet if it continued.

The CPI-M also criticised the TTD management for not taking any effective steps to counter the Parivar’s ‘disinformation campaign’ and blamed it for allowing such a situation to develop.

The district secretary of the CPI-M, K.Murali alleged that the Parivar units have in their portals had put all objectionable information against the TTD.
