Mayank Agarwal scores century

Bangalore: Mayank Agarwal’s 104 and Bharath Kondajji’s spell of four for nine helped Bangalore Zone defeat Secretary’s XI by 155 runs in a KSCA inter-district under-17 tournament match here on Monday. Bangalore Zone scored 250 for four in 50 overs and bundled out Secretary’s XI for 95 in 32.1 overs.

Karthik triumphs

H.S. Karthik emerged winner of the high seeded players in the CV Raman Nagar monthly chess tournament here on Sunday.

Aswathama bagged the under-14 title, while S. Srikanth topped the u-12 group and M. Sanjay Raghavan took the title in the u-10 section.

Anirudh wins title

K. Anirudh won the Kensri school tennis futures tournament’s boys’ under-10 singles title here on Sunday. In the final, Anirudh defeated Dhruvakumar 6-3, 6-0.

KSP posts win

KSP defeated NAL Colony 76-49 after leading 32-22 at half-time, in a State ‘A’ division basketball league match here on Sunday. In another match, MEG & Centre defeated Beagles BC 51-21.

Karnataka, TN in final

Host Karnataka and Tamil Nadu will clash in the final of the Employees Provident Fund South Zone cricket tournament in Mangalore on Tuesday.

Karnataka defeated Andhra Pradesh by 10 wickets, while Tamil Nadu defeated Kerala by nine wickets in the knock-out fixtures.

The scores: Andhra 79 for nine in 20 lost to Karnataka 80 for no loss in 13.4 overs (S. Raju 45 not out); Kerala 82 in 19.3 overs (Venkateshwaran four for 10) lost to TN 83 for one in 17.1 overs.
