Theft bid foiled

A man who attempted to steal cash from a passenger while he was asleep in the rest room of the Central bus stand here on Monday was caught by the policemen through the help of the surveillance cameras installed inside the bus stand. A police press release issued on Monday said the person who attempted to steal was identified as Raju alias Gopal. He was later handed over to the Cantonment (Crime) police. The release further said 32 surveillance cameras had been installed at various points in the bus stand to check and detect offences immediately.
