HEAVY RUSH: Retail hub of Tirupur, New Market Street at the exit point of the old bus stand witnessing a heavy crowd on the eve of Deepavali festival sales.
TIRUPUR: The Tirupur police have announced traffic diversion in certain roads from Tuesday in view of increasing crowds around old bus stand area which is the retail hub of the town. In a release, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Manivannan, said Coimbatore, Sathyamangalam, Gobi, Mettuppalayam and Salem-bound buses would start from new bus stand, while buses from Uthukuli would be stopped at Park Road. Buses from Mangalam would be stopped near the municipal office. More than 400 police personnel would be deployed for regulating traffic and prevention of crime.
